When we were first married, it seem as though our romantic love will last effortlessly forever; as those years pass by how many married couples could honestly say that they’re always as passionate for each other as they were on or before their wedding day?

​Over time, the stress of the world and our day-to-day responsibilities can wear down our marriages and drive us apart. Marriage retreats allow us to take a break and rekindle our love that we once held for our spouses.  They encourage us to open up to each other, and to desire to know one another deeper. This retreat will help couples create a culture that can become the beginning of an intentional process of daily renewal for a marriage relationship.

​In the retreat, husband and wife can spend the weekend away from concerns of the world so that they can focus only on each other without distractions.

The Marriage Enrichment Retreat is for couple aiming to build great marriages.

​

The Marriage Enrichment Retreat (as the name suggest) is for any couple who wants to enrich their marriage relationship. It is a 3-days/2-nights weekend away designed to expand and deepen the joys that couple share together, whether they have been married for a short time, or for decades.

There will be a series of topics introduce by the lead hosting couple. Each topic builds on the last, as the participating couple(s) reflect by examining themselves, their behaviours and attitudes and their relationship with their spouse. Guided activities and communication tools are used to allow couples to connect in a healthy, constructive manner aim at deepening marriage intimacy and “oneness”.

Couples who participate are to share their thoughts and feelings privately with their spouse only. Each retreat will consist of some 2-5 couples.

​

The retreat is based on adapted materials from the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America “Renewing Our Promises” as well as the Catholic Church “Marriage Encounter” programs. Therefore it may contain Christian principles. However it is re-designed for all couples with or without a church background. You do not need to be a Christian to come the retreat.

​

A single weekend spent at a marriage for couples retreat cannot fix a broken relationship, so don’t think of it as your saving grace. It is not a therapy or counselling session for troubled marriages. 

 The cost of the retreat will vary based upon where you go, and the size of the group.
